Phoenix, AZ – Davidson Belluso is honored to stand alongside Friends of Animal Care & Control (Friends) as being awarded a Communitas Award for outstanding website design. “Communitas” is a Latin word meaning “people coming together for the good of a community.” Friends, as a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, raises funds to support no-cost spay/neuter programs for low-income and underserved residents of Maricopa County, to reduce – and one day eliminate – euthanasia of adoptable pets, through the Spay Neuter Assistance Program (SNAP).

“D/B takes very seriously the work Friends is doing in our community,” says Michela Belluso, owner at D/B, “It is truly an honor to be able to join hands in support of what they are accomplishing.”

Last year, 83,833 unwanted dogs and cats entered shelters in the Valley of the Sun; half of which were euthanized because there simply weren’t enough families to adopt. The good news is the program is working! Since SNAP began in 2006, there has been a 60% increase in lives saved, enough animals to fill the seats in the University of Phoenix Stadium and Chase Field!
